The purpose of this role is to assist the Fundraising Sub Group, administratively, as it seeks to identify and develop funding opportunities and fundraising activities to support the continued provision of our Leeds and Bradford projects.
We are a West-Yorkshire based charity dedicated to providing support and homes to refugees and asylum seekers who find themselves destitute on our streets. This includes those who have been refused asylum but cannot reasonably return to their country of origin and those given refugee status.
• Attend sub group meetings, usually in Leeds, approximately every 4 weeks.
• Take minutes of the meeting, produce a typed copy and distribute by email.
• Circulate agendas, notifications and other material to sub group members as required.
• Ensure safe storage of minutes and data relating to the sub group in line with policies and procedures.
Volunteers will come from a wide range of backgrounds and will have many different skills and qualities. Essential for this role are:
•A desire to support Abigail Housing to continue to assist refugees and asylum seekers in our Leeds and Bradford projects.
•Administrative skills, including use of ICT.
•Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
