Men in Sheds Oxted is a project that supports people in the community who want to get together to share and learn new wood-working & DIY skills
Could you spare a few mornings a week to help the Men-in-Sheds Manager push this new initiative forward?
For people of all ages, active or not so active, with a little time to spare to do something useful and creative whilst making new friends. Varied activities include re-caning chairs and stools, upholstery, sewing and knitting, poppy assembly for the Royal British Legion and much more. (Closed Fridays.)
This volunteer role would suit a volunteer who would enjoy coordinating a small project to start up and kit out a new shed that has just recently been acquired which is in addition to an existing shed on the site of The Woodhouse Centre (next to Tandridge Leisure Centre).
Are you an organised and resourceful person, enthusiastic and proactive? If you have organised a project before it would be helpful but enthusiasm for the project is more important!
No previous experience of volunteering or of DIY is required!
The opportunity is available Monday to Thursday mornings
