Hertfordshire Mind Network launched Let’s Talk Grounds Maintenance in 2012. Operating as a social enterprise, the service delivers high quality grounds maintenance services to public, private and community sector organisations, whilst providing paid employment and volunteering opportunities for individuals who have faced barriers to work through experience of mental and/or emotional distress.
In partnership with Broxbourne Borough Council we have gardening and park maintenance volunteering opportunities available at Cedars Park, ideal for anyone who enjoys being outside, breathing in the fresh air and using their hands.
Purpose of role:
To carry out gardening and general maintenance projects at the Park.
Lawn mowing/edging, strimming
Planting & pruning
Developing nature walks and features
DIY, craft and maintenance projects
This role is flexible and on-going and full training will be provided for using the maintenance machinery. A great opportunity to work outside in the fresh air, learn new skills and meet new people!

Gardening at Cedars Park every Thursday 10-2, including weeding and clearing, mulching, planting, sweeping, clearing paths, cleaning water courses and tidying ancient monuments. Ideal for anyone who enjoys being outside and using their hands!
This opportunity is located in Cedars Park, Theobalds Lane, Cheshunt EN8 8RS. Volunteers meet at 10am in the park at Pets’ Corner.
