Would you like to make a concrete difference to the lives of homeless people and to yours?
Then join us as we prepare sandwiches every Saturday from 4:30pm to distribute to our friends in the street.
Our “rounds” take place in many parts of the city, including Victoria Station.
Feel free to see what it’s like and email us on email@example.com for more information!
WHEN: Every Saturday afternoon.
The Community of St Egidio is a worldwide movement that began in 1968 in Rome. It now is present in more than 73 countries around the world and has 60,000 members and counting. In London, the Community has built friendships with the elderly and the homeless in the areas of Kensington, Victoria, Ladbroke, Chiswick & Gloucester road. We organise events and dinners to bring marginalised groups of people together, through friendship.
Looking for volunteers that want to befriend homeless people struggling together with other volunteers.
4pm: we start preparing sandwiches
5pm: we do a 20 min prayer
5:30pm: we leave in smaller groups to do the rounds.
