Games Room buddy

Leonard Cheshire Disability - St Anthony's
10 Oct 2017

Wish you could spend your time playing games? Well you can and at the same time have fun and help others too. Gaming with our disabled residents involves tech and no tech games. We have a games room with screen based computer games and other traditional games such as Poker, Bingo, Jenga, Skittles and Draughts.

We provide full training, DBS Checks (formerly CRB) and a good fun place to work.

About organisation

Leonard Cheshire Disability supports thousands of disabled people in the UK and works in over 50 countries. We campaign for change and provide innovative services that give disabled people the opportunity to live life their way. We want people to change the way they see disability – to think and act differently to make a positive difference to the lives of disabled people.Volunteers are involved a wide range of roles across the organisation, including befriending, accompanying disabled people to local activities, fundraising, organising social events, driving, gardening and maintenance.

What are they looking for?

We have all types of residents and so are looking for a diversity of volunteers.
If you have a friend or family member with a disability that is great but not essential.
A sense of humour and a talkative person is all that is required.
